Italian winners at the World Superyacht Awards 2023

The award ceremony for the 18th edition of the World Superyacht Awards took place in Istanbul, proclaiming the winners of the 14 categories up for prizes. Italian yachts were nominated in nine of these, winning in five categories.

Benetti’s Unknown (34.36 metres), designed by P.L. Ausonio Naval Architecture/Benetti R&D Department, RWD, Bonetti / Kozerski Architecture, won the award for Displacement Motor Yachts 499GT and Below 30M to 39.99M.

Baglietto’s Rush (41.7 metres), designed by Francesco Paszkowski Design in collaboration with Margherita Casprini won the award for Semi-Displacement or Planing Motor Yachts 35M to 41.9.

Acala (42.9 metres) by Cantiere Delle Marche designed by Hydro Tec, Horacio Bozzo Design, Simon Hamui Design Studio won the award for Displacement Motor Yachts 499GT and Below 40M to 44.99M.

In the Sailing Yachts category, the winner was Sørwind (34.59 metres) by Southern Wind Shipyard, which has its commercial headquarters in Genoa and production facilities in Cape Town, designed by Farr Yacht Design with exterior and interior design by the Milan-based Nauta Design studio.

Finally Kensho (74.85 metres) by Admiral – The Italian Sea Group S.p.A., designed by Azure Yacht Design & Naval Architecture, archineers.berlin, Jouin Manku won the award for Displacement Motor Yacht 1500GT and Above and was proclaimed Motor Yacht of the Year.
