{"id":268461,"date":"2026-09-04T08:40:28","date_gmt":"2026-09-04T08:40:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/confindustrianautica.net\/the-award-winning-excess-13-catamaran-by-french-firm-cnb\/"},"modified":"2026-09-04T09:28:28","modified_gmt":"2026-09-04T09:28:28","slug":"the-award-winning-excess-13-catamaran-by-french-firm-cnb","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/confindustrianautica.net\/en\/the-award-winning-excess-13-catamaran-by-french-firm-cnb\/","title":{"rendered":"The award-winning Excess 13 catamaran by French firm CNB"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What\u2019s New at the 66th Genoa International Boat Show<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><p>The <strong><em>Excess 13<\/em><\/strong> from French shipyard <strong>CNB<\/strong> is making its <strong>debut<\/strong> at the <strong>66<sup>th<\/sup> Genoa International Boat Show<\/strong>, having already won a <strong>host of awards<\/strong>, starting with the <strong>Multihull of the Year 2026 <\/strong>award, which complements the model\u2019s <strong>European Yacht of the Year<\/strong> title.<\/p><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><p>Developed by engineers at the <strong>Marc Lombard Design Studio<\/strong> and designed by <strong>Jean-Marc Piaton<\/strong>, the <em>Excess 13<\/em> (<strong>12.38 metres<\/strong> long by <strong>7.25 metres<\/strong> wide), thanks to its <strong>sophisticated construction<\/strong>, <strong>weighs<\/strong> <strong>20% less than catamarans of similar size<\/strong> and offers a <strong>15% larger <\/strong>upwind sail area (<strong>113 square metres<\/strong>).<\/p><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><p>The <strong>saloon<\/strong> is bathed in <strong>natural light<\/strong>, and the <strong>galley<\/strong> \u2013 acting as a link between the interior and exterior \u2013 opens onto the <strong>cockpit<\/strong>, which is furnished with an <strong>L-shaped sofa<\/strong>, a <strong>table<\/strong> and various <strong>other seats<\/strong>.<\/p><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><p>There are <strong>two layout options<\/strong>. In the <strong>three-cabin layout<\/strong>, the starboard hull is reserved for the <strong>owner<\/strong>, while the port hull accommodates <strong>two double berths<\/strong>.
