THE 64th EDITION WILL TAKE PLACE FROM 19th TO 24th SEPTEMBER 2024&#8243;.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The<strong> Genoa International Boat Show <\/strong>closes its 63<sup>rd<\/sup> edition with <strong>118,269 visitors <\/strong>registered as of 11.00 am on 26<sup>th<\/sup> September &#8211; the event&#8217;s closing day -, marking a <strong>13.9% increase compared to 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1,043 brands on display, <\/strong>an increase of <strong>4.5% <\/strong>compared to 2022, over 1,000 <strong>boats <\/strong>\u2013 measuring from 2 to 40 metres in length &#8211; <strong>143 additional berths in the water <\/strong>thanks to the opening of the new canals. <strong>184 premieres and new designs <\/strong>ondisplay <strong>(+9.5% compared to 2022). 3,190 <\/strong>sea trials carried out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>120 <\/strong>conferences and workshops were organised, <strong>1,316 <\/strong>journalists accredited, <strong>2,294 <\/strong>articles published during the event period alone, from 20<sup>th<\/sup> to 26<sup>th<\/sup> September, and over <strong>11 hours of television coverage <\/strong>dedicated to the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;These are the numbers of a Show that continues to outdo itself year after year and that, in this edition, went beyond our own expectations,&#8221; <\/em>declared <strong>Saverio Cecchi<\/strong>, President of the Italian Marine Industry Association and I Saloni Nautici.<em> \u201cI would like to thank my team, who worked hard to achieve this result, and I am proud to be at the helm of this crew. Our goal is to become the number one industry event in the world. We are working to achieve this goal, a goal that will be made possible thanks to the close cooperation between the public and private sectors, and ensuring the new Waterfront di Levante, designed by Renzo Piano, will become the finest exhibition area in the world, specifically tailored to the yachting sector. Tomorrow we will start working on organising the next edition, scheduled from <strong>19<sup>th<\/sup> to 24<sup>th<\/sup> September 2024<\/strong><\/em>&#8220;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 63<sup>rd<\/sup> Genoa International Boat Show will be remembered for this year\u2019s <strong>unprecedented participation and attention of Government authorities and institutions<\/strong>, with the official visit of Italian Prime Minister <strong>Giorgia Meloni<\/strong>, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructures and Transport <strong>Matteo Salvini<\/strong>, Minister for European Affairs, the South, Cohesion Policies, and the National Reform Programme <strong>Raffaele Fitto, <\/strong>Minister forCivil Protection and Sea Policies <strong>Nello Musumeci<\/strong>, Minister for Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry <strong>Francesco Lollobrigida<\/strong>, Minister for Public Administration <strong>Paolo Zangrillo<\/strong>, Minister for Business and Made in Italy Production <strong>Adolfo Urso<\/strong>, and Minister for Defence <strong>Guido Crosetto <\/strong>(who participated in the Boat Show\u2019s inaugural conference via video link), President of the General Confederation of Italian Industries <strong>Carlo Bonomi, <\/strong>and President of ENI <strong>Giuseppe Zafarana.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Marco Bucci<\/strong>, Mayor of Genoa: &#8220;<em>Walking along the quays over the course of these past few days I have heard people complimenting the new layout, the canals, the new Blue Island completely surrounded by water. The yachting industry and the Genoa International Boat Show are an important business that grows every year and have an enormous economic and employment impact on our city. Next year will be the year we inaugurate the Waterfront di Levante. Operators are talking about an extraordinary sales numbers and a lot of appreciation from the public, more than they had expected. Moreover, Genoa has truly embraced this event like never before, hosting dozens of events all over the city that in turn involved thousands of people. This edition demonstrates how the Genoa Boat Show is increasingly synonymous with Liguria and Genoa. Just as synonymous with Liguria and Genoa are sectors like yachting, shipbuilding, tourist marinas, and many other sectors at the heart of the blue economy. We can already the fruits of our labours, of the hard work begun years ago to unite hospitality, industry, tourism, and the great urban redevelopment work of the Foce designed by Renzo Piano.
