UCINA Confindustria Nautica and ICE Agenzia will be organising a collective of 79 Italian companies that will participate in the upcoming METS in Amsterdam. The Italian recreational boating industry will be the best represented and the most qualified at the international show for nautical accessories, materials and technologies that will be held from November 14 to 16 in Holland’s capital city.

Made in Italy nautical products will be in the forefront at METS – Marine Equipment Trade Show, the top international show for accessories for recreational boating that will be held in

Amsterdam from November 14th to 16th. UCINA Confindustria Nautica and ICE Agenzia will be organising a collective of 79 companies that will display their products in the Italian and in the Superyacht Pavilions. In the latter pavilion visitors will find a larger Italian contingent than last year: 13 companies.

The total turnover for the accessories for recreational boating sector in Italy in 2016 was approximately 989 million euros, 18% more than in 2015. 710 million euros represent Italian production, while over 278 million euros are from the sale of imported goods. The national production of nautical accessories is distributed evenly between products for exportation and for the internal market.

The UCINA ICE collective will have a 1.744 square meter space where there will be an institutional stand, created with the support of the Ministero dello Sviluppo Economico and ICE Agenzia. Companies that are part of the Italian collective can hold business meetings there and will find a series of dedicated services from hosting to translating.

In the collective’s space inside the Italian Pavilion, UCINA Confindustria Nautica will host an official visit of the Italian Ambassador to the Hague, Andrea Perugini.

UCINA will be amongst the International Federations that will participate in the General Meeting of EBI – European Boating Industry and the Superyacht Division of ICOMIA and will be an active participant in the Technical, Environment, Exporters, Statistics Committees. The latest edition of the ICOMIA Statistics Book will be presented to the Statistics Committee.

UCINA is pleased to present this book to its member companies and a greatly reduced price. UCINA Confindustria Nautica will also sponsor the Environmental Initiative award that will be presented at the 2017 edition of the prestigious Boat Builder Awards, organised by IBI magazine and by Metstrade. This and other prizes will be presented November 15 during a gala dinner that will be held at the National Maritime Museum di Amsterdam. This is the third edition of the Boat Builder Awards, created to honour both individual and team successes within the boat building industry across eight different business categories.

Italy will also be represented at the Dame Award 2017, created to honour the best design products. There are five Italian companies nominated: B.C.M. Illuminazione con Surf Plate R, Besenzoni S.p.A. with their P400 Matrix, Razeto & Casareto S.p.A. with Soft Close Flush Lock, Opac s.r.l. con Retractable Blades Hard-Top e Tessilmare s.r.l. with BinoX, .

ICE and UCINA Confindustria Nautica will be working together again in 2017 at Nautic in Paris (December 2-10). In early 2018 they will be at BOOT Düsseldorf  (January 20-28), the Dubai International Boat Show (February 27 – March 3) and the Singapore Yacht Show (April 12-15 2018).
