What’s New at the 66th Genoa International Boat Show
Versatile and elegant, the new Dufour 39 will be making its debut at the 66th Genoa International Boat Show. The Dufour 39 (12.00 metres long by 4.10 metres wide) was designed by Umberto Felci Yacht Design – the shipyard’s in-house yacht designer for many years – with Luca Ardizio overseeing the design and styling.
The sharp-edged hull, optimised to reduce the wetted surface area, ensures smooth and controlled sailing. The single rudder provides a direct feel at the helm: precise and responsive.
The 71 m² sail area is easily manageable thanks to the careful layout of the cockpit, with two steering wheels controlling the single rudder blade. There are two possible interior layouts: with two or three cabins.
In the first layout, there is a large owner’s cabin in the bow and an equally spacious double cabin in the stern, to starboard of the passageway from the cockpit. Amidships is the large saloon with dining area, galley and bathroom. The second layout features two double cabins aft.
In both layouts, it is possible to fit a private en-suite bathroom for the master cabin and, in the first version, to use the space to the left of the saloon steps as a shower room or utility compartment. The Dufour 39’s auxiliary engine is a 45 hp unit.
