What’s New at the 66th Genoa International Boat Show
Meticulous design and enhanced engine power define the new Tornado 40, the first boat produced following Novamarine’s acquisition of the historic brand, which has revitalised Tornado Yachts. Measuring 13.50 metres in length and 3.80 metres in width, the Tornado 40 retains its sporty character while incorporating new features and a strong focus on the practical use of space.
The Tornado 40’s silhouette is traditional, while its character is that of a boat designed for sporty cruising, yet one that does not compromise on comfort and liveability during day trips or short cruises.
On deck, the walkways are well-organised and safe, with ergonomically designed seating and sunbathing areas to facilitate movement. Inside, with two cabins providing a total of four berths, the aim has been to offer the utmost in terms of space and comfort without making the boat feel bulky.
The Tornado 40, which can accommodate 12 people, offers three engine options. These range from the standard configuration with two 400 hp Volvo D6 engines, to optional configurations with a pair of 440 hp or 480 hp Volvo D6 engines. The stated maximum speed is 40 knots.
