What’s New at the 66th Genoa International Boat Show
Verga1958 and Cracking Art have chosen the 66th Genoa International Boat Show to unveil a special edition and an environmental initiative. Introducing the Sestante 6.8 Lupo di Mare, a limited series of five numbered pieces, each featuring its own original sculpture of the Lupo (or Wolf) on board.
“The wolf, the icon of this limited edition, is a guardian, a watchful presence. As the ideal protector of marine and aquatic life, it embodies the values of protection and respect for the environment. This is a project that seeks meaning rather than special effects,” commented Stefano Bitturini, Project Manager at Verga1958.
The Sestante 6.8 (designed by Matteo Costa Yacht & Design) is a day boat measuring 6.80 metres in length and 2.23 metres in beam, with a capacity for 9 people. It features side storage, lockers and, beneath the spacious Miramare sundeck at the stern, several optimised storage compartments. On the console is a practical document bag.
The Sestante 6.8’s engine range spans from 40 to 150 hp, with speeds ranging from 20 to 40 knots.
Verga1958, in conjunction with the special edition of the Sestante 6.8 Lupo di Mare, has also launched the “Rotta del Lupo” (literally, the “Wolf Course”), a mini-game dedicated to recycling and the proper management of materials, designed as an educational experience.
At the Verga1958 stand (Hall B Terreno, Stand BD4), a touchscreen kiosk encourages visitors to recognise materials and responsible behaviours, making the topic of recycling fun and accessible, even for its youngest visitors.
