What’s New at the 66th Genoa International Boat Show
A combination of design, generous dimensions and versatile layouts, the Icona 70 is the first project from the new brand “Icona inspired by Mangusta”, embodying the shared vision of the Balducci family and Stefano Arlunno, co-founders and partners of EFFEBI NEW PROJECT, the company behind the new brand.
The Icona 70, designed by Igor Lobanov, is 20.90 metres long and 6.20 metres wide; with her aft wings extended, she spans over 9 metres, creating a 40-square-metre platform on the water, complete with an integrated convertible ladder for accessing the sea.
The stern area can be configured with sun loungers and coffee tables. The fittings include an outdoor galley with a fridge, ice maker and barbecue, and a DJ console with storage space.
The helm station is a minimalist bridge, where ergonomics, technology and emotion come together in a single space. There are four integrated 19-inch touchscreen monitors and four seats dedicated to the helm.
Below deck, there are three cabins illuminated by large, continuous windows in the hull and with a headroom of 2.10 metres. The owner’s cabin spans the full beam and features an open-plan bathroom.
The planned engine configuration for the Icona 70 comprises three Volvo Penta engines in two set-ups. The larger configuration consists of three D13 IPS1350 engines, each delivering 1,000 hp, for a maximum speed of approximately 36 knots, a cruising speed of approximately 30 knots and a range of approximately 270 miles.
