The Ferretti Group’s Trade School is now open

The Scuola dei Mestieri (or School of Trades), the Ferretti Group’s new project dedicated to the next generation between the ages of 18 and 30 and aimed at training specialised workers, is now open.

The first course, in which 11 “students” are taking part, is held at the “Don Bosco” Professional Training Centre in Forlì, an important institution founded in 1952 and deeply rooted in the city. It lasts three months and combines shipyard theory and experience, through a training itinerary that ranges from the classroom to the laboratory, to even practicing inside the production departments.

The aim of the Scuola dei Mestieri is to build concrete career and growth prospects and thus enable young ‘students’ to discover a new specialised occupation that could prove to be the start of a solid career in professions such as nautical carpenter, deck builder, motorist and other figures across the yachting industry.

The School of Trades course, which at the end of the trimester will issue a Ferretti Group certificate and a certificate from the Emilia-Romagna Region, is taught by Ferretti Group managers and technical figures, in particular a former Shipyard Manager and a former Line Manager.

After the kick-off in Forlì, in September, the Ferretti Group’s School of Trades will move to the Mondolfo and Sarnico shipyards, with courses dedicated to carpenters and mechanics respectively.
