What’s New at the 66th Genoa International Boat Show
SAIM, a company founded in 1951 as a distributor of automotive and industrial components and which has been operating in the marine industry since 1993, is presenting two new products at the 66th Genoa International Boat Show: a navigation control system and a manoeuvring management system.
The first new product is from Avikus, a South Korean company specialising in autonomous navigation solutions, for which SAIM Marine is the exclusive distributor in Italy. The Neuboat system utilises LiDAR sensors, artificial intelligence and 360-degree vision.
In particular, Neuboat Dock II is designed for mooring and is the only system on the market that can be installed while the unit is in the water, eliminating the need for costly and time-consuming installations in a dry dock. Neuboat Navi is an intelligent navigation and autopilot system, while Neuboat Control is a driver assistance system.
The second new product is TotalUpgrade, developed in collaboration with ZF and aimed at boatowners and captains wishing to upgrade their on-board control systems. The programme involves replacing previous-generation systems – including those from other manufacturers – with the ZF TotalCommand platform for the integrated management of propulsion and manoeuvres. All this is designed to ensure greater precision when mooring and a reduced workload for the crew.
