What’s New at the 66th Genoa International Boat Show
Elegant lines, speed and absolute freedom. This is the Itama 70, making her debut at the 66th Genoa International Boat Show. The second model in the revamped Itama Yachts range, which now comprises five models, the Itama 70 was designed with the aim of optimising onboard usability by introducing layouts and features conceived to make the most of the available space.
The exterior design of the Itama 70 (20.93 metres in length, 5.30 metres in maximum beam) is by Vallicelli Design, while the interior design is by IdeaeItalia.
In keeping with the features first introduced on the Itama 54, the new Itama 70 also features a spacious bow sundeck integrated into the deck and side windows running the length of the hull.
The large aft sundeck, the U-shaped dining area fitted with a teak-topped table, and the console on the port side with seating for two are among a few of the main deck’s key features. The lower deck houses three cabins, a corner galley and a dinette. The owner’s cabin is aft – an important feature for an open yacht of this size – while the VIP cabin is forward.
With two 1,400 hp MAN V12 engines, the Itama 70 reaches a maximum speed of 37 knots and a cruising speed of 33 knots. With two 1,550 hp MAN V12 engines, the maximum speed increases to 39 knots and the cruising speed to 35 knots.
