What’s New at the 66th Genoa International Boat Show
The Aquila 45 Sport, a high-performance motor catamaran from Aquila Power Catamarans, is set to make its debut at the 66th Genoa International Boat Show with a top speed of over 50 knots. An innovative fast cruiser, the Aquila 45 Sport (13.90 metres long and 4.60 metres wide) combines the stability of a twin-hull design with an aggressive yet sophisticated aesthetic.
The Aquila 45 Sport is fitted with double-step hulls that guarantee high performance. Powered by two 600 hp Mercury V12 engines, the model exceeds a maximum speed of 50 knots, with an optimal cruising speed of between 36 and 40 knots.
This performance is complemented by comfort-focused features, such as the fold-down side panels that expand the living space’s surface area in the cockpit. When opened out to the sea, these panels increase the width of the Aquila 45 Sport from 4.60 to 5.80 metres, creating a spacious deck ideal for entertaining while also ensuring easy access to the water.
Also in the cockpit, behind the helm station (which has four seats), there is a lounge area with sofas and a table, as well as an outdoor kitchen (wet bar). All of this is sheltered by a hardtop covering an area of approximately 19 square metres. Below deck, the Aquila 45 Sport features a master cabin with a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a separate shower cubicle.
