Partnership between the Costa Smeralda Yacht Club and Garmin renewed

For the seventh year running the Costa Smeralda Yacht Club and Garmin will be working side by side for the 2023 regatta season and the winners of many of the most exclusive regattas on the YCCS calendar such as the Vela & Golf event, the Coppa Europa Smeralda, the YCCS Members Championship and the International 5.5 Metre Class – World Championship will receive the most sophisticated Garmin instruments dedicated to the sailing world as prizes.

We are proud to live another intense racing season alongside Yacht Club Costa Smeralda,” commented Carlo Brevini, Sales & Marine Marketing Manager of Garmin Italia. “The partnership between YCCS and Garmin has the merit of exalting the highest values of both worlds inspired by a driving passion for the sea, for sport and for the best technology, capable of making unforgettable regattas a reality“.

Among the initiatives at the heart of the renewed collaboration between the Club and Garmin, Official Technical Partner of the YCCS, is the revising of the equipment at the YCCS observatory in Piazza Azzurra and at the Sports Centre which provides real-time information on wind and weather conditions at sea.

Garmin is also cooperating with the Club in terms of key instruments, chartplotter, masthead, wind display and wireless transducer, for three dinghies, which are operated during competitive events. Finally, at those events that best represent the Yacht Club’s spirit, Garmin staff will be at the YCCS to showcase the latest from the world’s leading satellite navigation brand.
