What’s New at the 66th Genoa International Boat Show
A full 8.40 metres wide and 15 metres long, the Omaya 50 from Bulgarian shipyard OMAYA Yachts, part of the Elica Group, is making its debut at the 66th Genoa International Boat Show. The beam of the Omaya 50 is truly record-breaking, given that the length-to-beam ratio is less than 1.8, with a beam exceeding half its length.
The result is a catamaran characterised by very spacious interiors, starting with the foredeck, which features two sundecks, a living area and ample open spaces that create a veritable beach club. This open-air environment complements – and in some ways surpasses – the large open space of the aft terrace, which boasts a large table and a platform that can be kept level with the cockpit floor or used for handling the tender.
The saloon is a large open-plan space entirely surrounded, 360 degrees, by windows. Here you will find the galley, a second dining area for 10 people and the helm station.
There are two layout options for below deck. One features two double cabins in each hull. Alternatively, the entire port hull can be dedicated to the owner, with the cabin preceded by a private lounge and a large bathroom. The starboard hull accommodates two double cabins.
The Omaya 50 is powered by two Yanmar engines, either 150 or 440 hp.
