Lusben completes the refit of Kos

Lusben, the Refit Division of the Azimut|Benetti Group, which is celebrating its 70th anniversary, has completed the refit of Kos, a 37-metre Benetti Classic 120 launched in 2009, at their shipyard in Viareggio. Having kicked off in August 2025, immediately following the yacht’s acquisition by her new owner, the refit of Kos was completed in approximately six months thanks to the coordination between the Lusben project management team, the technicians and specialist craftsmen, and architect Laura Rossi, whose signature is born by the interior design.

“As we celebrate our 70th anniversary, projects such as Kos confirm just how much the concept of refitting has evolved into a process dedicated to enhancing a yacht,” commented Ferdinando Pilli, General Manager of Lusben. “Today, technical expertise, infrastructure and design are called upon to join forces to meet the expectations of owners who are increasingly focused on quality, reliability and the continuity of value over time.”

Key structural changes include the installation of a new full-height glass panel in the saloon and the reconfiguration of the stairwell area between the main deck and the upper deck. As for the outdoor spaces, the teak decks have been completely restored, whilst the hot tub on the sun deck has been removed, freeing up new spaces.

For the interiors, Laura Rossi has introduced a new interpretation of the unit’s previous spaces, based on greater fluidity, brightness and visual continuity. Significant work has also been carried out in terms of technical and systems upgrades focused on the engines and generators, as well as the navigation equipment and instrumentation along with the main on-board systems. Among these, the entire lighting system has been converted to low-energy LED technology.
