What’s New at the 66th Genoa International Boat Show
A sophisticated carbon fibre construction bearing the signature of renowned designer Giovanni Ceccarelli, the Neo 520 Roma will be previewed by Neo Yachts & Composites, the shipyard founded by Paolo Semeraro, at the 66th Genoa International Boat Show. The extremely fast cruiser can be easily converted into a full-fledged racer without sacrificing space, while simultaneously optimising performance.
A raked bow, low freeboard and long waterline help to achieve a low centre of gravity and increase the righting moment, thereby enhancing comfort.
There are three interior layouts: the classic forward cabin with V-berths, or – also forward – an owner’s cabin with a double bed. Aft, the two twin cabins can, in the third version, each have their own en-suite bathroom.
All three interior layouts include a spacious tender garage aft, and the sail locker can be used as an additional crew cabin.
There are also various options for the stern, with the choice of single or twin rudders, while the keel is available as fixed (3.60 metres), hydraulically lifting (3.6–2.1 metres) or electrically telescopic (3.5–2.20 metres).
The standard auxiliary engine for the Neo 520 Roma is a Volvo Penta D2 60 Saildrive. However, Oceanvolt’s hybrid or fully electric options are also available.
