Introducing the GS Plus 80 GL, Grand Soleil’s new flagship

Designed for owners who love long cruises in comfort and safety, without compromising on performance, the new Grand Soleil Plus 80 Long Cruise, offers naval architecture by Matteo Polli and exteriors, interiors and layout by Nauta, the Milan-based studio run by Mario Pedol and Massimo Gino.

“In keeping with Grand Soleil tradition, we have carried out everything in-house for the GS Plus 80 LC as well, from the lamination process right through to the boat’s launch,” explains Franco Corazza, project manager for the Plus range. “This approach allows for more precise quality control and promotes greater integration between hull and systems, enabling us to fully meet the needs of our owners.”

Built using composite sandwich construction, infusion moulding, vacuum forming and extensive use of carbon fibre, the GS Plus 80 LC is 26.20 metres long with a beam of 6.60 metres. The model features a carbon fibre mast and boom, aft-mounted rigging, and a central cockpit for guests. Bianca, the name of the first GS 80 Plus GL, is equipped with twin rudders and a telescopic keel, but is also available in a single-rudder version, combined with keels of varying depths.

Thanks to the Raised Saloon configuration, the interiors are flooded with natural light and comprise four guest cabins, with the owner’s cabin in the bow and two crew cabins. An alternative layout features three guest cabins, two crew cabins and, as before, the owner’s cabin in the bow.

On the technical side, the first GS Plus 80 LC is equipped with a hydraulic system that controls all deck manoeuvres, combined with the hybrid platform developed by Torqeedo, which integrates propulsion and onboard services.
