Institutional relations

The Italian Marine Industry Association’s relational activities carried out with its key institutional and political stakeholders is aimed at monitoring general policy and government guidelines that may have an impact on the yachting industry along with its supply chains, related services and users.

Through the Institutional Relations department, the Italian Marine Industry Association carries out representation activities with political, social and economic institutions and representatives in order to support the growth and development of the yachting sector as a whole.

The Industry Association safeguards the industry’s interests by preparing position papers that are indicative of Association’s requests, legislative proposals, technical-legal reports addressed to central government bodies in support of legislative initiatives, and legal-economic analyses supporting Association activities.

Among the most significant measures promulgated by the Italian Marine Industry Association through its institutional activities is the new Italian Nautical Code. The Code, which came into force on 13th February 2018, represents one of the most eagerly awaited measures under the national port and logistics reform, with the potential to guarantee an even greater boost to the growth of the yachting industry across Italy.
