What’s New at the 66th Genoa International Boat Show
Designed for boat owners with a passion for long cruises and who wish to enjoy their cruises in comfort and safety without compromises on performance, the new Grand Soleil Plus 80 Long Cruise will be unveiled by Cantiere del Pardo at the 66th Genoa International Boat Show.
The Grand Soleil Plus 80 Long Cruise was designed by Matteo Polli, while the exteriors, interiors and layout are the work of Nauta Design, the Milan-based studio run by Mario Pedol and Massimo Gino.
Built using composite sandwich construction, infusion, vacuum-assisted moulding and extensive use of carbon fibre, the GS Plus 80 LC is 26.20 metres long with a beam of 6.60 metres. It features a carbon fibre mast and boom, with the sail rigging (total sail area of approximately 400 square metres) routed aft, and a central cockpit for guests.
The first model features twin rudders and a telescopic keel, but a single-rudder version is also available, paired with keels of varying depths. The interior layout is a Raised Saloon, with four guest cabins aft and the owner’s cabin forward, alongside two crew cabins. Alternatively, there can be three guest cabins, two for the crew and, as before, the owner’s cabin in the bow.
Equipped with a 250 Cv auxiliary engine, the first GS Plus 80 LC is also fitted with a hydraulic system for all deck manoeuvres, combined with the hybrid platform developed by Torqeedo, which integrates propulsion and onboard services.
