What’s New at the 66th Genoa International Boat Show
Designed for cruising the seas around Cape Town, the Leopard 46 Powercat from Leopard Catamarans – a South African shipyard founded in 1993, which is also credited with introducing catamarans to the world of luxury charter – is making its debut at the 66th Genoa International Boat Show.
Measuring 14.13 metres in length and 7.34 metres in beam, the Leopard 46 Powercat offers the utmost standards of comfort and the optimal performance expected of a cruising catamaran. From the perfect lighting throughout the interior to the optimised use of space, the Leopard 46 Powercat is, to all intents and purposes, a veritable home on the water.
The outdoor spaces are spacious and well-organised: from the aft cockpit to the forward cockpit with a series of sundecks, to the flybridge terrace with a dinette and sundeck, as well as the second helm station. The superstructure is entirely surrounded by windows, with a door leading onto the forward terrace.
In the saloon, the galley – featuring a service area at the entrance from the cockpit – is on the port side, as is the dining area. The wheelhouse and bridge are on the starboard side. There are two possible layouts: with the starboard hull entirely dedicated to the owner’s suite, while the port hull accommodates two double cabins; or the layout with four double cabins, two per hull.
The engine options range from the standard configuration with two 250 hp engines to optional configurations with a pair of 320 hp or 370 hp engines.
