The construction of Palumbo Superyachts’ new production site has started in Ancona. This will allow the construction of the four new yachts from 30 to 80 metres the contracts of which have been signed in the last six months and which have been added to the eight already under construction.
“With the construction of the new hangar,” commented Giuseppe Palumbo, founder and sole director of Palumbo Superyachts, “we are optimising all the spaces included in the current area so that we can achieve maximum production efficiency. In the past we had to move the construction of new yachts to our other yards but Ancona is the headquarters of Palumbo Superyachts and we strongly believe that here there is a professional fabric suitable for the development of top quality shipbuilding“.
Palumbo Superyachts’ orderbook stands at over 500 million with orders booked until 2026. Five new deliveries are planned for 2023. These yachts measure from 30 to 50 metres and are from ISA Yachts, Columbus and EXTRA lines. The construction of the new hangar measuring 19 metres wide by 60 metres long and 19 metres high has already started and will be completed by September 2023.
