The name might change but the quality remains the same for Spanish engine manufacturer Solé Advance, which has been represented in Italy for over two years by Naval Motor Botti. At the 64th Genoa International Boat Show, the company will be showcasing three examples of its marine engine and generator products to yachting professionals and enthusiasts alike.
Founded over 112 years ago in Barcelona under the name Solé Diesel, the company recently changed its name to Solé Advance to underline the company’s commitment to innovation and sustainability encapsulated in the concept best captured in the company’s forward thinking motto, “Navigating towards new horizons“, a concept that is expressed clearly in the products Naval Motor Botti will be exhibiting at the Genoa Boat Show: the two inboards, the Mini 17 and the Mini 55, and the 4 GSH generator.
The Mini 17, a Mitsubishi-based twin-cylinder, 635 cc mechanical injection engine offers 16 hp at 3,600 rpm. This model is designed specifically for sailboats and small fishing boats. The Mini 55, on the other hand, a turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 52 hp at 3,000 rpm, also based on Mitsubishi, is extremely compact and therefore ideal not only for motorboats but also for 11-12 metre sailing boats with limited space at their disposal.
Another brand-new proposal from Solé Advance via Naval Motor Botti is the ultra-compact 4 GSCH genset with 3 kW of maximum power, which, due to its particular size, requires very little space. The model is both stable and silent and offers an easy-to-remove case for oil and filter maintenance.
